Hi there, I'm Katy Higgins, owner and founder of Holden Dental Hygiene.

Before completing the Dental Hygiene licensure program in 2010, I worked as a dental assistant for a private practice. As a Dental Hygienist, I have also worked in both private and corporate offices as well as in public health. As a Public Health Hygienist, I delivered needed treatments to underserved children in rural schools. Many of these children had no other access to dental services. In general, access to dental care remains a problem in our region, especially those who rely on Mainecare. In helping with this crisis we are committed to serving Mainecare patients as well as anyone struggling to find preventative care or coverage. We chose the Holden location for the convenience of rural patients who might find it easier to visit our practice without needing to make a trip into Bangor or Ellsworth.
